ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee and company information.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including employment verification, background checks, drug screenings, pre-employment physicals, and new hire orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, attendance tracking, PTO/vacation balances, and personnel documentation.
- Administer employee benefits enrollment and related benefit programs.
- Prepare and process documentation required for bi-weekly payroll.
- Generate and maintain weekly HR and workforce efficiency reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with management to address employee relations matters, performance concerns, corrective actions, and disciplinary documentation.
- Support employee performance evaluations and development initiatives.
- Assist with workplace safety programs and regulatory compliance efforts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience required.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and performance management.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience administering benefits, maintaining employee records, and processing timekeeping and payroll functions.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, SDS documentation, and compliance standards.
- Experience with ERP systems, HRIS platforms, and timekeeping software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience supporting workplace safety initiatives and compliance programs preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
