Maintains and cleans city animal shelter including cleaning of animal holding facilities; feeding and watering animals; exercising animals; and assists with animal adoptions when necessary.
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends or special events. 20 hours per week or less.
The Pay Rate for this position is $13.00 per hour. Current Texas driver's license is required.

This is a non-supervisory position.
High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in animal handling, vet office, or boarding facility preferred.
Animal behavior; standard office practices and procedures; and facility maintenance practices and procedures.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public; communicate effectively; apply safety standards to prevent hazards; tolerate adverse working conditions; understand and follow instructions.
Valid Texas driver's license.
