The Accounting Analyst is responsible for daily customer order entry and sales order reporting, EDI processing for third-party warehouse import and export, consignment invoicing, and review of payables. The Accounting Analyst will provide support for month-end close activities as directed by the Controller. The Accounting Analyst will also serve as a back-up resource for the AP Specialist and the Accounts Receivable Analyst.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Process customer orders via EDI and email
  • Detailed analysis of orders for data accuracy in pricing, promotion codes, ship to locations, delivery dates, and allowances within orders and consigned invoices.
  • Management of EDI data feeds to and from third-party warehouse locations
  • Trouble-shoot errors with EDI orders, data feeds, and consigned invoices.
  • Daily sales order reporting to sales, operations, and management teams.
  • Daily review of payables and system syncing of payables.
  • Reconciliation and month-end tasks to support the Controller.
  • Serve as primary backup for the Accounts Receivable Analyst and Accounts Payable Specialist.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed, such as filing, facilitating audits, and assisting with projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

           Education:  Associates Degree or Higher Education Hours Equivalent           

           Experience: 3+ years Accounting and bookkeeping/general ledger experience.

                                 Customer invoice and accounts receivable experience.

                                 Reconciliation and/or business process research experience.

                                 Experience with an ERP

                                 EDI experience a plus

                                 Great Plains knowledge a plus

  • Excellent communication, people management, and interpersonal skills to provide efficient and effective resolution.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills, strong analytical skills, and a propensity for accuracy.
  • Individual must be a self-starter, trustworthy, and professional.
  • Customer service approach to working with customers, co-workers, and other departments.
  • Computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • The Accounting Analyst reports directly to the Controller.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.

The working environment is a clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art Warehouse facility, but may require some outside maintenance as needed. Must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a criminal background check.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stretch, and look at a computer monitor for extended periods of time. This job requires the employee to be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
